Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore invites applications for the position of Project Officer/ Research Associate (Software Engineer).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions for experiments and medical applications.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and data scientists to translate research into technical specifications and efficient software solutions.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ensure software quality and reliability through comprehensive testing and adherence to best practices in software engineering.
- Contribute to the selection and integration of data storage solutions, AI models, and analytical tools.
- Document and maintain software functionalities, development processes, and user guides.
- Stay informed of the latest advancements in AI, data science, and software engineering, applying this knowledge to innovate and improve project outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development for at least 2 years, with a strong portfolio of projects that demonstrate skills in AI and data science.
- Expertise in programming languages commonly used in data science and software development, such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a strong plus.
- Experience working with medical data or in a healthcare-related field is highly relevant.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to healthcare data is a strong point.
