Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership (design, define and deliver) of the Core Banking platform release management:
- Provisioning of the technical environments necessary for proper testing, dress rehearsals and final cutover events
- Planning and execution of large software releases, holding accountability for coordination of all the parties involved.
- Run the demand management forums with Project Directors, Delivery Leads, ScrumMasters and Delivery Guild
- Identify technical skills and resources required for delivery.from Environments Provisioning Team, c
- Coordinate with Leads for resourcing.
- Liaise with all teams involved on testing and implementation of large software upgrades, i.e. service packs for Core Banking systems in use
- Provide skills, coaching and support to core banking delivery teams, related to the processes and approvals involved in provisioning
- of technical environments.
- Provide skills, coaching and direct support, to the project teams, ensuring smooth handover from project mode to the BAU.
- Perform the Scrum Master role (where required) and lead the Environment Provisioning team in their sprint
- deliveries.
- Ensure the deliveries are adhered to standards and processes related to infra setup, application deployment and data safety..
- Collaborate with project team members from various domains to monitor, develop, execute project plans associated with project
- content.
- Manage multiple work-streams concurrently and effectively resolve issues or conflicts.
- Actively monitor and report progress to all stakeholders in a timely manner by using a variety of formal communication channels.
- Deal with all project-related escalations and seek input and assistance from appropriate channels to resolve in a timely manner.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum 12 - 17 years of experience and out of which, minimum 5+ years of release management using JIRA in CORE Banking.
- Managed Finacle 10.x/11.x and multi-countries and OPEN systems production environment.
- Good knowledge in various cloud supporting technologies to support the infrastructure for optimization.(i.e. open Shift, APIs, Kafka, VPC, GTM…)
- Hands-on Experience in Finacle Application (Core Banking) Server Capacity Monitoring and Optimization.
- Good level of command over production Infra; performance monitoring and reporting tools.
- Good working experience in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Grafana/Kibana, AppDynamics etc.
- Ideal hands-on experience in Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting.
- Good Hands-on experience in PAAS (Platform as a Service) and not limited to AWS, Pivotal, OpenShift.
Idea Candidates should have :-
- Governance of the environment life cycle and ensurance of it’s reliability
Environment will require regular data refresh (from PROD), batch runs, handling the inevitable infra/app-layer errors etc.
Team’s goal is to orchestrate necessary activities among the parties (DBS teams) involved.
Skills required: IT infra and application architecture acumen, allowing for effective discussions with SMEs and ability to plan and execute the necessary tasks. - Utilization of the environment for testing of the production changes
Environment will be used by hundreds of teams and projects. The implies the need to orchestrate the testing calendar, liaise between the change-owners etc.
Skills: process ownership experience, understanding of testing area, ability to understand dependencies between testing scopes/projects/applications etc, dashboarding and pitching to the senior management - Applications onboarding
While main part of the environment will be built as part of – already running – project, there will be continuous need to onboard new systems and make them part of the environment.
Skills: similar to “technical project manager” – ability to orchestrate between infra/middlelayer/application SMEs and ensure compliant and efficient process of adding new application to the environment.
