Our client is one of the Mandarin Enrichment Centre in Singapore, and they are expanding across various locations in Singapore. Therefore, they are looking for teachers to augment their new centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically conduct Chinese Language enrichment lessons in accordance with the provided teaching plan.
- Utilize specially crafted, interactive activities, drama, and games to teach students ranging from Playgroup level to preschoolers, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.
- Plan, review, and assess lessons effectively.
- Update and communicate with parents following each class session.
- Provide parents with consistent feedback on their children's learning progress.
- Demonstrate sensitivity, care, and attentiveness to the needs and well-being of students.
- Deliver clear and confident explanations of programs and activities to prospective customers.
- Support the Head of Teaching & Curriculum in the development of new course curriculum.
Key Requirements
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Chinese Studies, Chinese Language, or related fields from NUS, NTU, NIE, or another reputable university as a minimum qualification.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is required. This enables conducting lessons in Chinese and providing verbal and written feedback to English-speaking parents regarding students' learning progress.
- Candidates with prior experience teaching in preschools are preferred.
- A strong passion for both learning and teaching is essential.
- A genuine love for working with children is a must.
- A fun-loving, energetic, and bubbly disposition is essential.
- Candidates with experience or training in drama have an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
- Availability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays is required as part of a 5-day work week.
- Entry-level candidates with limited experience are also welcome to apply.
