Traffic Clerk

Caterpillar Asia Pte Ltd

  • Ensure invoices are sorted in good order and duplicated in accordance for execution of shipment export or delivery to dealers, customers and DCs
  • Check and validate billing documents through CRM WebUI
  • Lead, troubleshoot and resolve various grief issues through close liaison with OB operations and various IT support teams (CRM support team/D7 Invoicing team/ APSSC team and OneSource platform)
  • Ensure invoices are forwarded to service providers within stipulated KPI timeline for their shipping document preparation
  • Ensure prompt communication with GTS team on ECL completion through email
  • Tally check on physical cargo quantity/case accuracy against packing list
  • Close coordination on daily cargo collection with Transporter and Operations
  • Provide support on additional tasks required for special / emergency outbound shipments
  • Close coordination with vendors, internal and external customers on billing document availability and accuracy
  • Consolidate quarter-end report on invoiced not ship invoices on last day of every quarter
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by Supervisor


Job Requirements


  • Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 years of working experience in supply chain / freight forwarding / shipping or transportation operations
  • Familiar with shipping Incoterms and good knowledge of export customs procedures (Example, types of customs permits, HS codes, Chamber CoO application)
  • Possess knowledge in dangerous goods (DG) management and transportation (IMDG / IATA) and experience in warehouse operations will be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with fluency of English language and strong capability in communicating with various team members with positive vibes
  • IT savvy and proficiency in using MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint), SAP
  • Possess good analytic skills
  • Possess positive and willing-to-learn attitude; and a self-starter who takes initiative to proactively seeks clarity when in doubt and resolve issues independently
  • Willing to take on additional new tasks proactively when assigned and capable of achieving result
  • Strong capability to plan, prioritize and multi-task to meet tight datelines and monthly KPI metrics
  • Strong adaptability in working with uncertainties and capability in embracing change positively
  • Capable to work independently and as a team player with minimum supervision
