Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of IT services.
- Manage change request, service request and production support issues and ensure service levels are met;
- Manage outsourced vendors and in-housed contractors to meet the delivery and operation needs of IT services.
- Manage the verification of software patches and upgrades for applications;
- Measure, monitor and continuously improve performances of IT services;
- Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patches;
- Review post production issues and identify root cause and work with vendors on preventive measures;
- Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured to meet system objectives
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in application production support on Java and .NET applications in both Unix and Windows operating environments.
- Bachelor or higher degree in IT or equivalent
- Certification or formal training in ITIL will be an added advantage
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills;
- Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (e.g. IIS, WebSphere Application Server);
- Good organization skills and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment;
- Knowledge of web languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript);
- Positive attitude and able to work under pressure;
- Possess strong information acquisition, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Self-driven, creative and team-oriented person with good interpersonal skills;
- Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technology;
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required;
- Understand SDLC and experience working with business users, various IT teams and vendors.
