Assistant/ Deputy Finance Manager

The Assistant/ Deputy Finance Manager has an overall responsibility in ensuring the Accounts/Finance team can meet inter-department requirements and smooth, effective operations. This will include assisting management in ensuring stakeholder' compliance, data collection and performing analysis for decision-making.

Job Description

  • Consolidation of monthly accounts - Prepare consolidated accounts for management or stakeholders
  • Audit and tax compliance - Work with auditors and tax agents and ensure compliance
  • Compliance to rules and regulations - Ensure regulatory requirements is met for the entire group
  • Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, reviews on a monthly, quarterly, annually basis, in both English and Mandarin
  • Coordination between management and external stakeholders in China and Singapore
  • Team Management- - Manage a team of accounts/finance and ensures monthly books for the Singapore and China entity is in order
  • Conflict Management and problem resolution - Identify, solve issues the team faces so the team can operate effectively
  • Holding company matters - As instructed by the Chief of Staff, assist in matters relating to the holding company/head office in China and Singapore

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in Accounting or Business Management
  • Preferable min 10 years’ experience in accounting, experience in Construction or Engineering industry will be an advantage
  • Candidates with working experience in MNC in China are welcome.
  • Able to communicate and create report to stakeholders in China in Mandarin
  • Leadership: Team motivator and able to coach and mentor staff
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and manage expectations and deadlines
  • Analytical skills - Ability to identify intricacies in issues, weigh implications and determine the best solution
  • Willing to travel overseas for business purpose.
