Job Description: Administrative Assistant

Position: Administrative Assistant

Employer: Tanjong Katong Girls’ School

Location: 20 Dunman Lane, Singapore 439272


Contract Period: July 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024

Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm (including ½ hr lunch break)
  • Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm (including 1hr lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
  • Overtime may be compensated with off-in-lieu.

Scope of Services:

  1. Contact parents daily regarding administrative matters.
  2. Assist in various administrative duties in the General Office (e.g., financial assistance process, record-keeping, statistics compilation, correspondence preparation, filing).
  3. Assist in sourcing goods and services, including vendor liaison.
  4. Check staff leave applications and absence records.
  5. Manage office stores and issue stationery to staff.
  6. Cover counter and telephone duties, as necessary, to clarify external stakeholder and public inquiries.
  7. Perform any other administrative support duties as assigned by the Authority.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum 4 GCE “N” level passes or equivalent.
  2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Preferably proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, or equivalent software.
  4. Preferably with prior administrative experience in schools.
