Job Responsibilities
Full Qualification Course development work
- Give researched inputs to the Curriculum & Programmes (C&P) team (for example, gaps in relation to Skills Framework, sectoral changes etc.)
- Develop module documents, assignment descriptors, marking rubrics, session slides, session plans, SOW and reading materials
- Consult faculty for peer review of materials during the development phase
- Develop e-learning materials for modules (for Blended Learning)
- Develop test bank – ten rather unique sets if applicable
- Conduct unpacking sessions
Full Qualification Course re-development work
- Review available materials and give researched inputs to C&P team (based on source of relevant updates)
- Communicated changes to stakeholders
- Conduct Unpacking sessions for course under re-development with applicable
- Redevelop module documents, assignment descriptors, marking rubrics, session slides, session plans, SOW and reading materials
- Re-develop e-learning materials for modules (Blended Learning)
CPD Short Courses development work
- Conceptualise relevant ECDA endorsed CPD
- Write proposal for ECDA endorsement and SSC funding
- Prepare for engagement with external vendors to develop materials
Quality Assurance work
- Lead benchmarking exercises organised by HQ
- Carry out moderation work with lecturers
- Conduct teaching observation (of full-qual modules or CPD) to understand use of C&P materials
- Follow up module/course evaluation conducted by Strategic Planning Office
- Carry out audit work
- Work with Student and Academic Services Division and other stakeholder for curriculum review work
Teaching
- Full-qualification or CPD as planned or when necessary
Projects
- As assigned according to workplan/needs of the division at a smaller scale
Others on a case-by-case basis only
- Work with HQ CBD to edit course materials
- Provide data/information when requested by NIEC HQ/ECDA
- Work with Programme Head/NIEC HQ to conduct interviews for Discretionary Admission Exercise or language tests
- Interview with HR for candidates (Lecturers and Practicum Supervisors)
- Attends meeting with external stakeholders for related content
- Secretariat duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood / Education or equivalent
- At least 4 years of teaching in early childhood settings and gained curriculum leadership positions there
- Experience in adult teaching
- Experience in developing early childhood curriculum for teacher education
- Tech savvy
Note: All new hires will be offered a two-year contract in the first instance. Contract renewal and emplacement on permanent appointment will be subject to continuous good performance.
