Job Responsibilities
GL and Reporting
- Maintenance of General Ledger (GL) and perform monthly management reporting and statutory reporting
- Ensure accuracy of entries posted into GL
- Preparation of financial statements and relevant audit schedules
- Preparation of Actual results vs budget by division
- Preparation of bank reconciliation
- Preparation and filling of Quarterly GST submission
- Preparation of survey submission
- Assist in updating of SOP
- Assist in financial operational matters
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisors
Budgeting
- Checking and tracking of budget utilisation and assigning GL code
- Preparation of monthly outstanding AOR listing to divisions
- Preparation of half yearly outstanding AOR listing to divisions for updating of AOR status
Accounts Payable
- Checking of payment and run payment settlement
- Submission & liaise with NTU for vendor account creation and modification
- Checking of staff claims
- Quarterly data analytics for general staff claims less than or equal to S$200
- Assist in updating of SOP
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with average 5-8 years’ experience in finance or accounts.
- Good understanding or experienced in key functions of Finance (e.g. Financial Reporting, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Treasury/Cash Management, etc.)
- Able to work well in teams and across various groups of stakeholders.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented and hands on
- Able to communicate clearly
- Proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong ethics and professional in conduct
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Possess the knowledge and experience in public sector finance and regulatory requirements in a Singapore government agency or Institute of Higher Learning would be advantageous
- Experience with Accounting / Enterprise Resource Planning software (e.g. SAP) would be an advantage
Note: All new hires will be offered a two-year contract in the first instance. Contract renewal and emplacement on permanent appointment will be subject to continuous good performance.
