We're on the hunt for a Manager / Senior Manager to join our FP&A Finance Team. Merging strategic finance with sharp market insights and a customer-centric approach, you'll play a key role in shaping Castlery's financial direction.

You're skilled at identifying critical business factors and effectively persuading stakeholders at all levels. Your expertise will align our financial strategies with our business goals, leading to tangible, impactful results that support our mission.


Make an Impact

Strategic Business Partnering:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership & Partnership: Act as a pivotal strategic partner, enhancing operational and financial performance across the company. Take the lead in identifying and analysing key business drivers, blending risk assessments and market trends into robust, adaptable financial forecasts. Your role is crucial in ensuring that insights lead to tangible actions and measurable results, guiding critical decisions that are grounded in comprehensive financial analysis and aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Collaborative Financial Planning: Lead the charge in fostering cross-functional collaboration during the budgeting and forecasting processes. By challenging assumptions and validating data, you'll ensure our financial plans are grounded yet forward-looking, aligning with Castlery's strategic vision.
  • Initiative Oversight: Keep a pulse on the progress of strategic initiatives, evaluating their impact against our targets. Your oversight will ensure that our projects not only align with but also advance our organisational objectives.
  • Process Optimisation: Lead initiatives to streamline finance processes, leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) tools to enhance efficiency and insight. Your efforts will not only improve our financial operations but also empower decision-makers with actionable data.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Insightful Financial Reporting: Craft and deliver monthly management reports that go beyond the numbers to offer deep profitability analyses and business insights. Your reports will serve as a cornerstone for data-driven decision-making, illuminating paths to growth and efficiency.
  • Proactive Analysis: Undertake forward-looking analyses, including project evaluations and benchmarking, to shed light on strategic opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaboration for Accuracy: Work closely with the wider Finance team and cross-functional teams to refine reporting processes, guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your collaborative efforts will ensure our financial policies are not just adhered to but optimised for clarity and compliance.

What You’ll Need

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance, with professional accreditation (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) advantageous.
  • Open to candidates with diverse analytical backgrounds, such as market research, investment banking, or consultancy, recognising the unique insights and strategic thinking they can bring to the role.
  • Minimum of 8 years of FP&A experience, including at least 4 years at a group level in a private company setting.

Technical Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Strong analytical skills are essential, with a proven track record of effectively collecting, organising, and interpreting data to make robust conclusions and drive strategic decisions.
  • The ability to navigate complex financial landscapes, simplifying intricate data for broader understanding and strategic application, is crucial.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills are required, along with the confidence and integrity to challenge conventional thinking and advocate for best practices and improvements.
  • An inclusive leadership style and the ability to work as a team player are vital, with a focus on valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Netsuite) and proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) for comprehensive data management and analysis are must-haves.

Industry Experience

  • Prior experience in sectors such as Retail, E-commerce, B2C, and Logistics, especially within US and Australian markets, is advantageous.
