We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned professional to fill the role of Global Automation & Innovation Engineer in our contract logistics vertical. The successful candidate will spearhead the design and execution of comprehensive end-to-end automation solutions, with a specific emphasis on crafting sophisticated data analytical tools for efficient analysis using Tableau/Power BI. This position requires a strategic thinker endowed with robust analytical, problem-solving, and leadership acumen.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop automation solutions aligned with business and customer requirements.
- Formulate detailed technical specifications and 3D Sketches using CAD Tools.
- Conduct data collection and analysis using tools such as Tableau/Power BI to define design criteria, optimize layouts, and ensure financial metrics meet customer and internal standards.
- Analyze RFQ data to comprehend key drivers for selecting appropriate automation and mechanization solutions.
- Develop and implement data analytical tools to swiftly arrange raw data into meaningful summaries for designing automated/semi-automated solutions.
- Validate warehouse design concepts from various vendors to deliver the most effective machinery automation/robotics solutions.
- Manage automation solution aspects of current site renewals, evaluating performance metrics, identifying enhancement opportunities, and proposing cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with automation technology vendors to assess new products, tools, and technologies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide training to internal teams and clients on automation solutions, capabilities, and best practices and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering; master’s degree preferred.
- + 7 years of experience in Fulfillment Engineering, business process engineering, or warehouse/logistics automation consulting.
- Subject matter expertise in end-to-end Automation Solutions with a robust foundation in industrial/mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Expertise in solution design, warehousing cost modeling, and optimization of logistics operations.
- Results-oriented with strong interpersonal and project management communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 30-40% for client meetings, site visits, and vendor collaborations.
