JOB DESCRIPTION
As someone who is passionate about creating impact and helping to change lives in the Social Service sector, the role is critical to growing ABLE’s awareness and presence among corporate and individual sponsors, helping to ensure ABLE’s financial sustainability to continue helping the physically challenged overcome adversity and live normal lives. The role will also be responsible for supporting ABLE’s communications strategy as well as managing ABLE’s Volunteer programme.
Key Responsibilities
Campaigns and Events
- Assist in the planning and execution of creative fundraising events and activities, including digital fundraising campaigns, that promote ABLE's cause and unique proposition.
- Contribute fresh ideas for impactful initiatives where appropriate.
- Help maintain a calendar of marketing activities and events, with a key mandate on annual fundraising activities e.g. Charity Dinner, Charity Golf, Parish Outreach.
- Assist to create compelling and differentiated fundraising campaign assets and content that enable ABLE to stand out from other non-profits. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the preparation of marketing collateral, fundraising proposals, donation appeals, sponsorship packages, appreciation letters / emails.
- Help to handle event logistics, and where appropriate, lead the effort of working with vendors, partners, staff, volunteers, and attendees to ensure smooth execution and high- quality standards of donor experiences.
- Assist to prepare insightful reports on performance of campaigns and events across various channels.
- Assist to ensure donor database is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
Brands Awareness and Communications
- Support multi-channel corporate marketing / event publicity and branding initiatives including executing effective digital, web and social media marketing and communication efforts.
- Manage and update corporate website and social media platforms including regular social listening (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and provide analysis.
- Support production of multi-channel corporate marketing / event publicity and branding collaterals including but not limited to information booklets, brochures, posters, banners, presentations and videos.
- Support development of compelling narratives, creatives and engaging content of ABLE clients and caregivers that reinforce ABLE (& ABLESEAS) mission, purpose and beliefs.
- Support the production of ABLE-related reports/documents such as annual report; Charity Portal; presentation decks.
- Publish monthly employee newsletter as part of employee engagement.
Volunteer Management
- Explore, plan and manage all publicity and outreach efforts for volunteer recruitment and engagement initiatives.
- Screen, plan and coordinate volunteer orientation, including aligning with ABLE’s Integrated Services professionals on client care requirements.
- Conduct volunteer appreciation and engagement programmes to foster and strengthen ABLE’s pool of volunteers.
- Manage the volunteer database including ensuring that the Volunteer Management System (VMS) is up-to-date.
- Prepare timely reports and analysis on volunteer deployment and participation in ABLE’s initiatives.

Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Mass Communications/Marketing/Business Administration or related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a marketing & communications role
- Possess excellent project management skills with the ability to manage cross-functionally and handle multiple tasks
- Adaptable, resourceful and resilient professional who possesses good stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fundraising / marketing communications
- Skills in visual, video editing and photography will be an advantage.
- Meticulous with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, proactive, enthusiastic, self-motived and results-oriented
- Possess problem solving skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player, compassionate, committed and accountable.
- Growth mindset, willingness to learn and open to new ways of doing things.
- Experience in Social Services sector, volunteer management will be an advantage.
