Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the fire protection team (consisting of 1 Assistant Engineer, 3 Technical Officers & 4 workers)
- Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies in line with industry regulations.
Create fire protection plans by working closely with other departments and contractors - Design and execute fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance.
- Stay abreast of developments in fire protection systems, codes, and standards. Ensure the team remains updated on best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with codes and regulations.
- Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems & also to ensure all fire protection systems are in good working condition
- Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports to the Director of Facilities Management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of projects
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Preferably with a minimum of 3 or 5 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on fire protection.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards is advantageous.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
