Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of air freight operations. This includes coordinating with respective stakeholder in each station to ensure choice of carriage and negotiate with airlines.
Responsibilities:-
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize air freight operations within the region, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and targets.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage Country Airfreight team, including training.
- Airlines Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key airlines to manage performance, negotiate contract, ad hoc shipments.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and oversee day-to-day air freight operations, including cargo booking, quality standards.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement, optimize processes, and drive operational efficiency.
- Risk Management & Solutions:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to air freight operations, capacity constraint.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for air freight operations, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
- Continuous Improvement:Promote continuous improvement within the team across operations, initiating innovation and implementing best practices.
Requirements:-
- Min bachelor’s degree in logistics / supply chain management or related discipline
- 8 years of experience in air freight operations, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport.
- In-depth knowledge of air cargo industry regulations, practices, and trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
