Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful short-listed incumbent will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities :
- Strategize, formulate and execute/ deploy yearly strategies to support the overall business goals and department goals.
- Develop initiatives that maximize benefits from emerging technologies.
- Responsible for the team categories management and drive significant cost reduction or value to the organization.
- Provide strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier relationship/ performance management. Steer and develop teams towards achieving yearly business objectives and strategic goals (e.g. Transformation, productivity, Innovations and sustainability etc.)
- Manage end to end procurement activities, both internal and external.
- Key interface for stakeholder engagement and stewardship to value add to business units.
- Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments.
- Talent development of the teams members in area of functional and leadership qualities, in building high performance teams.
Requirements
- Proven track record with successful 12-15 years of procurement experience, in areas of leadership and transformation. 3-5 years of direct team management experience.
- Displayed leadership, capabilities to formulate procurement strategies in area of procurement transformation, business innovation, sustainability, productivity.
- Entrepreneurial, high sense of urgency and accountability mindset.
- Analytical, agile thinking, eye for details and high level thinking.
- Possessed Influential and business acumen skills, demonstrated in a high matrixed and wide arrayed organization.
- Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT, Supply Chain) preferred and other professional certificates is a plus.
