Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain proper accounting records of transactions in accordance with Singapore law and Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs) to enable the preparation of accurate and reliable financial reports and financial statements.
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks such as preparation of accounting journals and bank reconciliation.
- Timely production of management accounts, financial statements, accounting schedules, cash flow projections and financial analyses.
- Analyze financial information and discuss it with business unit managers.
- Review operating capital position with business unit managers.
- Review inventory and AR status.
- Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
- Prepare year-end statutory financial statements in accordance with Singapore law and FRS.
- Assist in the preparation of the year-end tax schedules for review by tax consultants.
- Liaise with external auditors on statutory audits.
- Compute allocation of support function costs to the various business units.
- Liaise with Principals and customers on financial matters.
- Intercompany balance confirmation and transaction elimination.
- Assist in the compilation of the annual budget.
- Compilation and submission of GST returns.
- Prepare, supervise and review the accounts of entities which are part of the Group.
- Ensuring compliance with the Group policies and accounting standards
- Undertake any other duties in relation to the job scope as assigned by your superior from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
- ACCA / Accounting Degree / CA Qualification
- Good working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Audit Experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge in use of Accounting Software preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision
- Meticulous, excellent teamwork and positive work attitude
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
