Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the importation process for vehicles, including preparing and submitting import documentation to relevant authorities.
- Liaise with 3rd party companies, customs agents, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance of imported vehicles.
- Verify import documents for accuracy and completeness, including invoices, bill of lading, and import permits.
- Communicate with suppliers to track shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
- Update import records and maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of imported vehicles into inventory.
- Assist with customs clearance procedures, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty calculations.
- Handle inquiries from internal stakeholders and external parties regarding import procedures, documentation requirements, and shipment status.
- Stay informed about changes in import regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline import processes and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
- Diploma in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with import procedures and customs regulations in Singapore, including HS codes, GST, and customs documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using import-related software and systems, such as TradeNet and customs declaration platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing import documents and completing customs declarations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to resolve import-related issues and discrepancies.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative to improve import processes and address challenges.
