Senior Accounting Officer

Bangkok Bank Singapore is a full licence bank operating in Singapore since 1957. We provide a wide range of wholesale and consumer banking and financial services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.


We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Bank’s Budget & Planning Department which is responsible for the Bank’s accounting activities, regulatory, management and Head Office reporting, GST and tax matters, and payments & claims processing operations. The successful candidate will assist the department head in the following functions:

  • Preparation and review of Statutory, Head Office, MAS and Branch Management reports.
  • Preparation of statistical reports and survey submissions to local authorities/Head Office/Branch Management.
  • Checking of yearly tax provision schedules and liaising with tax consultant in the preparation of annual tax return submission and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Reviewing and checking of entries for financial closing, payments processing and nostro reconciliation.
  • Participating in the annual budget exercise and assisting with the co-ordination of the Branch’s annual financial plan preparation and submission.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to junior members of the team.
  • Participating in projects, system implementation and enhancements.

The preferred candidate must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Professional certification e.g. CPA/CA will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of financial control and reporting experience in the banking industry and must be familiar with MAS 610 and MAS 649 reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant financial, tax, internal controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Meticulous and has a keen eye for details.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
  • A self-starter who works well in a team.
