Job Designation – Manager, Wills
Job brief
Manager for Wills Department is to ensure that the company’s wills being drafted, and prepared are in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations and also in accordance with the company’s own internal policies. The manager will be responsible for reviewing and vetting through the drafts prepared by the team ensuring quality of the drafts prepared are consistent with the company’s requirements. The manager will also be responsible in managing a team of 7 to 8 personnel and prepares the necessary report to the senior management of the company on a routine basis.
Responsibilities
Draft Wills in accordance with client’s instructions
Review and vet draft Wills prepared by colleagues
Ensure Wills signed are valid in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations
Audit and check the custody of the Wills, ensuring processes of the company is followed
Development, improve and implement effective policies and procedures in will writing and the custody of the wills
Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
Assist the company in improving any will writing platforms or processes.
Educate and train colleagues on Wills related regulations and industry practices
Address clients’ concerns or questions on estate planning related matters
Prepare and present reports to the senior management
Successful applicant will work in the subsidiary - Wills Department
