Responsibilities
- Review and validate the network engineering team's network design and network solution implementation.
- Troubleshooting, run basic Linux commands to run diagnostic instructions and analyse the output.
- Maintain network performance through network monitoring, analysis, and tuning.
- Identify network-related issues quickly in accordance with SOPs and best practices and escalate to the appropriate team to resolve the issue when necessary.
- Keeping virus protection software and email applications up to date, configuring, and monitoring.
- Proactively follow up with internal or external parties on progress and prepare official incident reports.
Requirements
- A diploma in telecommunications/computer engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Technical report writing and documentation expertise.
- Excellent knowledge of network systems, architecture, and services, as well as network security, proxy, and firewall.
- Excellent understanding of Ethernet networks, IT service management, and Linux/Windows systems.
- Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto, and Fortinet experience is required.
