Job Title: Executive/Senior Executive (Post-graduate programmes)


OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The post holder will assist the Manager (Admissions) in developing and implementing the postgraduate programme recruitment strategies and plans in the Southeast Asia Region.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES OR DUTIES


Recruitment and Counselling

  • Conduct face-to-face information sessions, seminars, and telephone interviews (or by any other electronic means) that can successfully communicate with different target audiences.
  • Design and oversee the application process and related administrative matters.
  • Provide advice and support to potential candidates and new students on their career and study plans.
  • Streamline the recruitment and admission process, ensuring prospective candidates are given support, counsel and assurance of enrolment.
  • Follow up on applicants who defer or decline the offer. Follow up and register successful applicants.
  • To report regularly to the management team on the recruitment status

Business Development

  • Provide analysis and explore possible new partners for business development, recruitment and academic development in Southeast Asia Region
  • Provide timely feedback to the management on the market situations so that structural and process improvements can be made.


Marketing and Public Relations


  • Create, implement and evaluate marketing plans in line with the business plan & central marketing plan.
  • Research and identify the most appropriate promotional events to promote programmes and organise materials and representation of Manchester at these events.
  • Sponsor and co-organise joint events with business partners
  • Logistic coordination for all the promotion activities such as seminars fairs etc
  • Rearch, analyze and evaluate marketing activity including competitor analysis, student profiling and potential new markets and partners identification.
  • Produce regular reports and statistical evidence of marketing activity.
  • Provide Induction sessions for business partners, visitors and prospective students regarding the Centre.

The postholder is also required to:

Collaborate with the Manchester marketing teams to create synergies, where appropriate.
Carry out other duties as required by the Management

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The person appointed should:

Have a good standard of education, preferably at an MBA level in a marketing or business-related field.

Good command of both spoken and written English.
Ability to work strategically, tactically and creatively to meet agreed objectives.
Demonstrate the ability to build strong business relations with various stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure with a tenacious approach to problem-solving.
Self-motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to manage own workload.
Have IT skills with experience in using online marketing packages.
Present a professional image of Manchester Worldwide and the University of Manchester.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience in working sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds.
A degree in Marketing /Business discipline is preferred.
Minimum 3-6 years experience in sales and marketing, adult education, and familiarity with Asian markets.
Be self-motivated, efficient, mature, independent, outgoing, can work under pressure and be attentive to details
Good communication, and presentation skills and willingness to travel and work overtime.
