The Manager, General Ledger is responsible to perform all full spectrum of general accounting including month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting for assigned entities. This role will also be taking the lead on General Ledger (Finance Shared Services) related projects.


General Ledger (GL)

●     Responsible and supervise full spectrum of general ledger activities of entities undersigned.

●     Review journals and book recording to ensure financial statements are accurately reported.

●     Ensure month end close activities are duly completed on timely basis.

●     Any other ad-hoc/routing GL related activities.

 

Audit and Compliance

●     Ensure current processes, operations, systems, databases and information security are up to date and comply with proper accounting and legal principles/policies/procedures.

●     Liaise with external auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – ensure staff and information are available as required.

●     Ensure compliance of group reporting requirements.

 

Leadership  

●     Team player, able to lead small team of 5-6 persons and drive effectiveness.

●     Able to coach junior executives and provide relevant guidance.

 

Project management

●     Lead and manage general ledger related projects. Ensure timely updates to relevant stakeholders and completeness of projects within stipulated timeframe.

 

Customer Service

●     Deliver service excellence and maximize customer service and satisfaction.

●     Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co-workers).

●     Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issues.

●     Ensure that service levels and targets are met as per Service Level Agreements.

 

Continuous Improvement

●     Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Requirements

●   At least University degree or equivalent in a Finance & Accounting related field.

●   At least 7-10 years of experience in General Accounting (GA) function and preferably with 2-5 years of audit experience.

●   Prior experience working in shared services center of a multinational corporation desirable.

●   Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office (Word, Excel).

●   Strong SAP knowledge and hands-on experience.

●   Prior experience in leading in team.

● Good team player with positive working attitude.

●   Able to collaborate with different stakeholders.

●   Work independently and meticulous
