Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to fill a replacement position. The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on financial analysis and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Transactional Tasks: Perform complex transactional-related tasks, including the preparation of FICO documents such as invoices and shipping documents, ensuring compliance with contracts and relevant trade finance instruments.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Provide reports and assist in conducting analysis on the financial performance of the company. Ensure that financial information is in compliance with Corporate and local guidelines, including corporate manuals, accounting manuals, and local legislation.
- Performance Improvement: Initiate actions to improve financial performance within the assigned responsibility area.
Local Responsibilities:
- Perform Jeeves period closing procedures.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and collections.
- Manage credit control processes to ensure timely payment from customers.
- Prepare monthly cash forecasts to support financial planning activities.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Manager to support the overall finance function.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Familiarity with Singaporean accounting standards and regulations.
- Singaporean citizenship or permanent residency required.
- No formal degree or registered accountant status required.
