Job Descriptions:
- Oversee the overall technical operations of assigned vessels.
- Ensure vessels comply with International Maritime rules and regulations, legislations, and oil major requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the shipboard team.
- Monitor and address vessels' defects promptly and effectively.
- Foster a culture of safe operations onboard vessels.
- Plan and manage vessels' dry docking and repair activities according to company policy.
- Conduct investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Perform vessel inspections and internal audits as per company requirements.
- Procure vessels' spares and consumables and ensure timely delivery to vessels.
- Maintain and update validity of statutory certificates, vessels' drawings, and instruction manuals.
- Monitor planned routine maintenance through Planned Maintenance System and manage vessels' spares inventory.
- Assist in evaluating performance of shipboard team and conducting interviews for potential shipboard officers.
- Supervise construction of new vessels based on agreed design and specifications.
Job Requirements:
- Marine Engineer with Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1.
- Tertiary qualification in Maritime Studies, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of International Maritime rules and regulations, legislations, and oil major requirements.
- Preferably experienced as a Technical Superintendent in a shipping company.
- Analytical and proactive in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Team player with self-motivation and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
