Network Engineer – L3 Operations Support


Key skills:

• In-depth understanding of the networking concepts - Routing, Switching, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP etc.

• Advanced hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.

• Logical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problem to isolate the root cause and provide suitable resolution.

• Senior technical role responsible for quick resolution of network related problems. Proactive approach to handling and managing the network problems and ability to drive the problem situation towards resolution, without getting stuck by the dependencies on external factors.


Job Description:

• Management of network incidents escalations from L1/L2, incident and problem and security incident response.

• Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams in troubleshooting and identify root cause, related to network.

• Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for the troubleshooting, identification and resolution of network problems.

• Handling of the critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in timely manner to minimize the business impact.

• Attend to conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions.

• Must have good communication skills and able to work independently.

• Must adhere to process and policies of the Bank.

• Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

• Senior technical role responsible for quick resolution of network related problems. Proactive approach to handling and managing the network problems and ability to drive the problem situation towards resolution, without getting stuck by the dependencies on external factors.

• Able to use technical knowledge to proactively identify the potential network problems and imminent business impact areas and prevent the same. Able to guide junior members in team for the same.


Network Skills and experience required:

• In-depth understanding of the networking concepts - Routing, Switching, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP etc.

• Hands on experience on routers and switches for basic troubleshooting of the network related problems and incidents.

• Advanced hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.

• Logical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problem to isolate the root cause and provide suitable resolution.

• Knowledge of advanced network technologies like VXLAN, Cisco ACI, VXLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN etc will be added advantage.

Certifications:

(Not must, however required as knowledge benchmark):

· CCNP or equivalent

· CCIE or equivalent
