Director, Our Impact Plan

Our impact plan (OIP) details our roadmap towards building lasting companies on this fragile planet – it sets out our key ESG commitments in becoming a better organisation while staying trusted and true across four pillars – Planet, People, Prosperity and Governance. This has propelled us to be pioneers in our field, being one of the first to consolidate our ESG commitments in a single location.

The OIP team develops and drives the implementation of the OIP strategy. We are looking for a Director to join our KPMG OIP team:
Together with a team of ESG and other professionals within the firm, you will:

  • Align overall OIP commitments to global/ regional.
  • Determine local interpretation OIP focus areas, material factors and targets, in the context of our stakeholder expectations and firm strategy.
  • Review and refresh/refine (as needed) OIP strategy for KPMG Singapore.
  • Work with Head of Clients & Market to develop stakeholder engagement plan for OIP and create more deliberate presence.
  • Develop the OIP workplan for KPMG Singapore, in collaboration with central services and business functions.
  • Monitor and report on progress against commitments, and in line with reporting standards.
  • Work with Clients & Marketing team on the message house, report development and vendor questionnaires.
  • Collaborate with Central Services (People, Admin, Risk, Finance) on implementation of OIP initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Functions (Audit, Tax and Advisory) to articulate the value of meaningful work to Clients.
  • ESG reporting, including collaborating with internal stakeholders to conduct thorough ESG risk assessments, including analysing our operations, supply chains, and stakeholder engagements to identify potential risks and opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate and purposeful individual(s) who:

  • Has a minimum of 10 years’ full-time relevant working experience, preferably in both consulting and In-house ESG experience including internal carbon pricing.
  • Is strongly passionate about ESG issues and committed to making a difference in the corporate landscape.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of sustainability reporting and environmental and social impact capabilities.
  • Possesses an outstanding academic record, preferably in Accountancy, Social Sciences, Economics, Business, or Communications.
  • Has excellent knowledge of MS office, especially MS PowerPoint and Excel, and is adept at developing presentation materials to a high quality with a short turnaround.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication (written and spoken) skills, enjoys working with people and is able to build relationships with and manage a range of different stakeholders, both external and internal.
  • Is of a curious temperament, independent in learning, and a self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Has effective project management skills and is able to multi-task to deliver on varying priorities within a highly pressured and often shifting environment.
