Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Site execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and function testing of LV Switchgears, UPS systems, transformers, VFDs, distribution panels, generators, lighting circuits, etc.
- Carry out isolations / de-isolations on electrical equipment up to and including 690V as an Authorized Electrical Person (AEP) as approved by Responsible Electrical Person (REP).
- Attend daily Tool Box Talks to ensure full understanding of work scope as per PTW requirements.
- Carry out commissioning testing activities safely to comply with site PTW/LOTO and safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist vendors in carrying out pre-commissioning and commissioning scope of work related to vendor packages.
- Carry out troubleshooting of faults arising during commissioning tests.
- Filling up checksheets, test records and prepare red-line mark-up drawings, etc. during commissioning tests.
- Maintain latest drawings / documentation on site including all red-line markup drawings.
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance.
- Responding to breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults
- Supervising engineering and technical staff.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Qualification.
- At least 5 years working experience in electrical equipment commissioning / operation & maintenance.
- Experience in testing and fault-finding troubleshooting of HV/LV transformers, UPS, batteries, motors, LV switchboards, VT, CT, motor starters, control panel, power distribution panels, lighting system, socket outlets, heat tracing, Nav Aids etc.
- Effective team player and ability to communicate in English.
- Familiar with Permit –To-Work system.
- Familiar with ATEX and Hazardous Area Equipment.
- Understanding and application of Electrical Safe Working Practices on Live equipment.
- Class 3 driving licence in advantage
- Abel to work rotating shift.
