Job Description & Requirements
To perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of cranes and transport equipment with respect to its mechanical function and hydraulic control system. In addition, to maintain proper recording of each task undertook, inclusive of the remedy action performed.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Minimum Qualifications
a) Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level holder or equivalent with 2 – 3 years of working experience in mechanical repair of cranes or related equipment.
b) NTC holder of Mechanical Engineering discipline with 1 – 2 years of related working experience will be preferred.
Other Requirements
a) Good working track record with exposure to mechanical and
hydraulic control system. Advantageous for those with experience on engine repair/maintenance.
b) Is analytical and has a strong drive for results.
c) Pleasant personality and able to communicate effectively.
d) Team player & self-motivated.
e) A desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and build a career with a leading service provider for cranes and transport equipment.
f) Willing to travel overseas on job assignment
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Immediate response to equipment breakdown request, as instructed by supervisor.
• Troubleshooting and analysis of faults or problem encountered by cranes or transport equipment, thereafter to mete out corrective action to recover equipment immediately.
• Perform periodic maintenance and checks on cranes or transport equipment, as planned or scheduled.
• Repair and reconditioning of mechanical or hydraulic parts.
• Complete job record form for each activity undertook and promptly returns the form to supervisor.
• To work under the guidance and supervision of Mechanical Foreman, Service Supervisor or Coordinator. Therefore, if in doubts, always seek for supervisor instruction.
• Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of any activities, results of efforts and problems identified/potential problems; recommends corrective actions to immediate supervisor.
