The Manager, Bus Infrastructure, is responsible for overseeing the management of facilities-related services, ensuring operational readiness, and managing multiple results-oriented tasks with a focus on M&E building services and sustainability. This role involves contract management, stakeholder relationship management, and guiding the bus infrastructure team to provide efficient facilities and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Contract Management:
- Handle multiple results-oriented tasks with a focus on M&E building services and sustainability.
- Manage and execute M&E projects, including retrofitting premises, fitting out spaces, and implementing sustainability initiatives.
- Act as the contract manager for maintenance tenders, ensuring compliance with company/client requirements, and maintaining the approved vendor listing.
- Conduct regular meetings with contractors to ensure contract requirements are met and complied with.
Facilities and Operational Management:
- Oversee the contract management of facilities-related services and ensure operational readiness of SBST’s premises.
- Supervise and guide a team of term contractors in daily facilities management operations.
- Assess, plan, and implement operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide technical advisory and support on bus infrastructure issues.
- Ensure prompt service recovery for any breakdown of critical equipment and systems to minimize disruption to primary bus operations.
- Assist in emergency preparedness activities supporting bus operation requirements.
Stakeholder and Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational standards.
- Liaise with government agencies and statutory boards on audits, project management, development, and other facilities-related issues.
- Oversee the performance of outsourced maintenance teams, ensuring maintenance standards meet KPIs set by relevant government agencies and statutory boards.
- Address facilities-related issues raised by internal users.
Budget and Asset Management:
- Plan, formulate, and manage operating and capital budgets.
- Plan, formulate, and execute ISO 55001 Asset Management plans for the organization.
- Compile, collate, and analyze operational data and reports for regular meetings and updates.
- Review proposals and provide recommendations for facilities-related projects.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage technical and service contracts and tender documentation.
- Oversee all lease and license agreements with relevant parties.
- Coordinate project works such as upgrading critical systems and equipment, renovations, retrofitting, and system infrastructure improvements.
- Assist with any additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years relevant working experience in building services and contract management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct professional presentations.
- Good written/spoken communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of Building and M&E systems.
- Familiarity with government procurement procedures, building, and statutory regulations and requirements.
- SCEM, FSM, and GMFM certification will be an added advantage.
