Responsibilities:
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), monthly, and yearly closing processes, managing full sets of accounts.
- Prepare journals and perform data entry tasks.
- Ensure timely closure of month-end and year-end accounts.
- Develop and maintain accounts schedules.
- Prepare and submit withholding tax and GST returns quarterly.
- Assist in variance analysis, budgeting, management reporting, and inventory management.
- Prepare financial statements for statutory and tax reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and banks.
- Generate monthly financial reports.
- Compile quarterly consolidation reports via portal.
- Renew major export schemes.
- Monitor monthly and yearly budgets.
- Provide guidance and review work performed by two accounts assistants.
- Undertake other ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent; ACCA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
- Previous experience with AS400 accounting system is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of reporting accounting issues and recommending improvements to management.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
