This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Information and Communication Technology to support ICT Teaching & Learning.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Primary School located in Edgefield Plains.
Contract Period: From 14 July 2024 to 13 July 2025 or after the issuance of LOA whichever is later
Option to Extend: for a further period of 1 year, from 14 July 2025 to 13 July 2026
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
- Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of of 1 hr lunch break
- Should the personnel be required to work beyond the stipulated hours, the working hours will be adjusted accordingly to within the number of working hours for the day.
- May be required to report at 7:00 am occasionally to support school events.
- Service may be required on Saturdays to support school events.
- Working hours may be shifted according by the Authority with prior notice.
The Services required are set out as follows:
- Conduct computer training for students on multimedia applications.
- Work with the HOD ICT to develop a training resources/programme to ensure ICT implementation and integration are aligned to school’s needs and interests so that students attain proficiency in school-identified baseline ICT skills.
- Develop training resources that are required for training sessions of the students and staff.
- Train students (Pri 1-6) on information literacy and safe use of online tools.
- Assist in ICT - related training for staff, InfoComm Club as well as ICT Student Leaders.
- Assist in handling of inventory of various AV/IT equipment in various school locations (classrooms, hall, parade square, special rooms etc.) to support various school events/needs,
- Provide support for school functions, such as set up and manage Public Address (PA) equipment for National Day, Awards Day etc and Zoom Meeting/webinars,
- Support school events in terms of photography & videography including photo and video editing,
- Archive, manage and organise the school’s media collection (photos, videos and documents etc),
- Support school website design & maintenance,
- Provide technical support in Computer Labs, and/or small-group teaching that meets student’s learning needs, and
- Assist in providing assessment of students, monitor the effectiveness of ICT related teaching programmes provided and work together with the HOD/SH ICT to recommend refinements to the programme to enhance student’s learning.
The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching the use of computers and its relevant applications in a school environment.
- Preferably with experience teaching young children.
- Good command of English (written and Oral).
- At least a Polytechnic Diploma holder or its equivalent in a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office ie. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in use of Google Apps ie. Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Google Sites.
- Preferably with experience in use of iOS devices (Eg iPad, iMac, MacBook) and iOS apps ie Keynote, Pages and Numbers.
- Has knowledge on multimedia applications like Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and SWIIT webpage builder and ability to conduct computer training for students and staff.
- Intermediate level of knowledge in STEM or coding e.g Python, C-programming language, Arduino, Micro:bit, Apple SWIFT playground, etc. would be an added advantage.
- Preferable to have experience in animation, developing mobile learning, basic programming, video filming and editing.
- Candidate should be highly motivated and able to perform good project management.
- Candidate should also be a good team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills
