Job Description

EduGrove is looking for experienced, passionate and dedicated individual to lead our teaching team. We are especially looking for someone who have a strong background in Chinese language education, excellent leadership skills and a passion for nurturing young minds.


Job Responsibilities:

· Head up the teaching department.

· Oversee the entire curriculum and ensure that it is in line with the Company’s teaching philosophy.

· Stay updated on the current MOE requirements as well as changes in the syllabus.

· Ensure all Teachers are trained and able to teach in accordance with brand.

· Supervise, mentor, and groom members of department for growth while ensuring that they are performing at their best.

· Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

· Conduct regular evaluations of staff performance and provide feedback for professional growth.

· Take up relief teaching duties when need arises and/or when there are no available manpower to cover.

· Work with the assistance of Vice-principals.

· Report and work with the Board of Directors.


Job Requirements:

· Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education / Chinese Studies / Chinese Language or other related degrees from NUS, NTU, NIE or other reputable university.

· Candidates must have prior experience in leadership role with an educational setting, preferably in Chinese language education.

· Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff members, parents and students.

· Must be able to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently

· Must have the knowledge and updated on the current MOE syllabus and requirements.

· Candidates with experience or training in drama have an added advantage.

· Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, eg. Word, PowerPoint. Outlook

· Must be able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays. (5-day work week)
