Job Description
- Responsible for the financial strategy of this region, which reflects the policies of the headquarters and the mid-term management plan
- Determines, implements, monitors, reviews and evaluates budgetary and accounting strategies, policies and plans in consultation with other heads of departments within the company and group. Acts as a business partner to the commercial teams and supports especially to the petroleum trading business, lubricants business, petrochemical business, coal mining business, renewable business.
- Manages the group regional treasury centre to improve financial efficiency including reducing FOREX exposure and making/driving financial strategic business plans.
- Manages and initiates own group and its daily financial/accounting/tax operations including investment operation process, strategic equity re-organization in this region.
- Provides financial information and resolves issues in relation to profitability and treasury requirements for the company and affiliated companies in this region.
- Directs preparation of financial statements and management reports for presentation to the Board of Directors that summarizes the financial position and profit forecasts for the company.
- Advises on investment strategies such as merger and acquisition deals for the affiliated companies in the region, including investment funding, accounting, cash flow management and distribution of earnings.
- Responsible for taxation matters such as coordinating the preparation and filing of tax returns and government negotiation/correspondence with Economic Development Board for the company.
- Responsible for activating internal controls within the affiliated companies in the region and making compliance reflected into their company policies, including conducting audits and investigations where necessary to ensure adherence with financial policy and standards.
Requirements
- Deep and extensive knowledge of oil & gas industry
- Minimum 5years of working experience in charge of budget control and analysis in finance & accounting section for the listed Oil & Gas companies.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in charge of accounting and finance in coal mining section for the listed companies
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in charge of financial matters for the listed Oil & Gas companies.
- Bachelor of Commerce or Finance degree
- Proficiency in Japanese and English languages required to handle financial documents written in Japanese & English and for daily communications with colleagues and stakeholders in headquarters.
