Purchasing Executive

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Purchasing Executive to join our team. The Purchasing Executive will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services essential for our organization's operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.


Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase goods and services according to organizational needs and budgetary constraints.
  • Research potential suppliers, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts and prices.
  • Ensure timely delivery of purchased goods and services by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track orders to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing requirements and provide assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in [industry/sector].
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and systems (e.g., Oracle Netsuite).
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.

Employment Type: Full-time


Salary: 2600 to 3000
