We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our group of companies as a Bookkeeping & Operations Assistant. This is the opportunity to launch your career in accounting while gaining valuable experience in property management, maintenance and retail operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily financial transactions related to property management and product sales.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for rental properties using accounting software. Mainly AR and AP book entries.
- Assist with monthly closing procedures for accounts eg bank reconciliation.
- Manage general office tasks and administrative duties
- Support with tenant inquiries regarding rent payments and late fees. Coordinate with maintenance vendors for repairs and service requests.
- Track and record maintenance schedule.
Qualifications:
- Basic Bookkeeping Certificate (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong computer skills (data entry, spreadsheets, words)
- Eager to learn and develop new skills in property management and retail.
- Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
