Opportunity

The E-commerce Logistics Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge technologies to create, integrate and optimize a last mile logistics network. This Platform helps enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems, and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.


The Platform Product Owner for E-Commerce Logistics is responsible for defining, developing and managing a programmatic approach to a scalable global solution. This includes working closely with software development team to drive technical design, last mile delivery solutions, routing and optimization, and integration with upstream & downstream systems like customs, etc. In this strategic and customer-centric role, you will work with global leaders, solutions, product, and technology teams and drive business outcomes like accelerating implementation timelines, reducing issues, driving transparency and accountability across teams, and more.


Responsibilities

  • Work on the E-commerce Logistics product offering at Global level and translate it to product iterations with a data driven plan.
  • Define the platform’s KPI’s and build a closed loop mechanism to monitor and report on these.
  • Own and manage part of the E-commerce Logistics technology
  • Work with one or more engineering teams
  • Ability to think in structured and stepwise manner from creating MVP pilot test version to scalable solution and then driving optimization solutions via technology upgrades
  • Build partnerships with technology leaders and with a large-scale global technology organization to build cutting edge software solutions that enhance customer experience, launch market-leading products and solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Partner with regional leaders to prioritize customer opportunities, provide platform advisory, and resolution of issues.
  • Lead end-to-end technical solution designs for Maersk Logistics & Services working backwards from customer needs, while standardizing and modernizing our solutions.
  • Strive to introduce new capabilities offered by the E-Commerce Logistics (ECL) platform in the future

What we are looking for

  • Experience in managing complex, cross-functional product development from exploration to market launch and maturity.
  • Experience in driving high visibility companywide programs on a global scale with high degree of ambiguity.
  • Influence multiple cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
  • Proven program management skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Enable efficient and effective execution of deliverables, building, maintaining, and improving mechanisms, processes, standards, and playbooks.
  • Bring superior program management skills and ability to assess and integrate new information and requirements into plans seamlessly.
  • Highlight and appropriately escalate any bottlenecks that block progress while proposing potential solutions to enable rapid decision-making.
  • Ability to earn trust with a diverse group of stakeholders and influence without authority.
  • Provide regular, precise, and effective status updates on key programs, processes, and metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and backwards customer orientation mindset.
  • Bilingual in English/Mandarin is a must

What you bring

  • MBA/MS from top tier, globally recognized university.
  • Proven track-record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in Product Management with global Technology organizations, leading products from conception to delivery in an agile, outcome driven manner.
  • Experience shaping product strategy, prioritization, and specification
  • Previous supply chain / ecommerce product
