About the role
- Responsible for Refinery/ Chemicals facility Mechanical design of greenfield/revamped/retrofit from conceptual stage to detail engineering phase of Medium and large projects.
- Ensure all documentation within the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked (as assigned) in accordance with the Worley Management system for that project.
- Ensure all vendors bids and documentation are reviewed for technical acceptance.
- On case by case basis, to Lead a small team of Mechanical Engineers & designers from Home office and Support office
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide necessary technical assistance to other design groups assigned to project attached
- Communicate and interface with client representatives, other discipline Engineers and HVEC office
- Provide support to inspection activities for equipment or as necessary
- Actively look for value plus items that could be recorded and encourage other team members to do the same
About You
- Minimum of 10 years hands on experience for Basic and Detail Engineering jobs for Chemical/Petrochemical /Refinery/LNG Industries for all types of Static Equipment such as Columns, Pressure vessels, all types of Heat Exchangers, Fired Heaters, API storage Tanks etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Core experience related to Refinery, Petro-chemical, Chemical and LNG Static Equipment; Familiar with the Client guidelines/Standards of major petrochemical/refinery companies.
- Excellent knowledge and hands on experience with international Codes & Standards like ASME, TEMA, API, AD2000, PD5500 etc. including excellent Code interpretation skill.
- Drive Safe and Sustainable Engineering with value improvement practices. Pro-actively pursue with commitment for personal well-being and for continuously improving health, safety and Environmental performance of the personnel working with you.
- Shall be hands-on with Mechanical Engineering software, ability to work with Data centric Engineering data bases like AVEVA Engg., quest to continuously improve IT skills. Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent inter-personal skills including soft skills, guide less experienced Engineers on Technical matters.
- Working experience with exotic materials, manage multi office execution, site support experience etc.
