The Design Engineer is responsible for assisting the Senior Design Engineer on structural analysis and handle external works coordination of the project.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Conduct structure analysis
- Provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, authorities, consultants and other departments to ensure that the design intentions are met.
- Understanding regulations for external works from LTA, PUB, NPasrks and other authorities.
- Ability to identify potential and discrepancies that affect the design and recommend solutions to relevant team/department
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering from accredited Universities
- Experience: Prior 2 to 3 years of experience in design and construction
- Well versed in structure analysis and design software such as ORION, SAP2000, SAFE, PROKON, PLAXIS or other similar software
- Well versed in Autocad and BIM software is preferred
