About the company:
My client is a prominent entity in the maritime industry, renowned as one of the largest independent feeder carriers globally. They are dedicated to providing reliable and cost-effective feeder transportation solutions tailored to their customers' needs.
Job Summary:
Supports the Manager or Trade Head in the daily operations of their service. Responsible for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of a service without vessel provision, typically involving slots on third-party services.
Role and Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
- Assist the LM with daily operational tasks.
- Monitor vessel movements at sea and activities in port.
- Liaise closely with overseas agents
Space Control:
- Manage over-booking, cargo selections, and fixed slot customer excess requests.
- Update vessel positions for own-operated and partner vessels, and communicate revised schedules to internal teams and key clients.
Bunker Management:
- Monitor daily bunker consumption and ensure it aligns with TCD
- Compare consumption with sister ships in the same trade or region.
- Review bunker survey reports and address any discrepancies promptly.
Third-Party Service Management:
- Handle third-party independent services, focusing on space utilization and pricing to influence profit and loss.
- Manage daily communications regarding vessel schedules, space management, and pricing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in maritime business or business management.
- Minimum 3 years in a shipping line role involving trade.
