Event Intern (Asian Downstream Summit)

Clarion Events Pte. Ltd.

Internship period: July - Nov 2024 (Asian Downstream Summit)

(Please only apply if you can commit to the full duration)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented intern to assist our content team for southeast Asia’s largest event for the power sector, Enlit Asia! We need someone who is proactive, highly organised, and has excellent communication skills.

The event is a platform for leading industry providers to showcase innovative solutions, services, and products in line with the Asian strategy to transition to a low-carbon energy supply. It brings together the entire value chain of both power and utility producers and suppliers, covering content and exhibits from source to generation and from grid to consumer.

This internship opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking experience in the events sector, particularly in event development. As an intern, you will play a vital role in the evolution of the conference agenda and supporting the communications with, and organisation of, VIP conference speakers from across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Support end to end conference agenda development, including research, copywriting, identifying and acquiring high profile international speakers
  • Aid in speaker communication, follow-up correspondence and general speakers liaising activities
  • Support a cross functional team, collaborating with colleagues, including sales, marketing and operation to ensure smooth event delivery and top-level customer experience

We provide the opportunity to travel overseas to support the conference onsite during the event

Qualifications:

  • Current enrolment in a related degree or diploma programme (Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, etc.), preferably a final year student who is open to explore a full time opportunity after internship.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent) is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to take on new challenges, with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Proficiency in another language could be beneficial

We are committed to working with you to achieve tangible outcomes and support your self-defined learning objectives throughout the program.
