Function: Maintenance (Plant Facilities)
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of mechanical supervisors and contractors to ensure efficient execution of plant maintenance, modification, and construction activities. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and productivity within the team.
- Coordination: Collaborate closely with plant operators and other maintenance groups to schedule and execute maintenance and modification works, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption to plant operations.
- Technical Expertise: Conduct mechanical studies and analyses to optimize plant facilities according to technical specifications and business requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth technical investigations on equipment issues, evaluate findings, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve reliability.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for staff and contractors to enhance their skills and competencies, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively and safely.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to plant emergency calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues within tight timelines, demonstrating quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Compliance: Implement and maintain management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SS651 standards, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in maintenance management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in mechanical facilities maintenance in oil/ petrochemical/ power industry
- Hands on experience in performing troubleshooting and repair work of static equipment and rotating equipment (e.g. heat exchangers, pressure vessels, agitators, pumps, compressors, and blowers)
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff across different functions and contractors, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to teamwork and knowledge sharing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Basic knowledge of SAP applications is advantageous
