Assistant Vice President - Senior Underwriter
Responsibilities include:
- Focus on building an Financial Institutions portfolio which includes PI/D & O/Crime and Cyber within APAC
- Contribute to the profitable growth of Professional Lines APAC portfolio.
- Conduct broker and client meetings including presentations as required
- Provide input and feedback at the weekly underwriting meetings.
- Develop Financial Institutions products for the APAC region in line with Global Markets overall product strategy and guidelines.
- Creates and utilizes marketing materials and other product collateral to support marketing and production initiatives.
- Develop a broker and cedant plan for each assigned producer/territory; and manage the relationship in terms of analysis, catch up meetings and entertainment.
- Full and thorough underwriting of all accounts in accordance with underwriting guidelines and individual authority granted by management.
- Monitoring all industry and specific account trends. Implementing a field service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry.
- Experience in portfolio management of a Financial Institutions portfolio
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum
- Minimum 5-10 years underwriting experience
- Experience in underwriting and have technical knowledge of underwriting large banks and Financial Institutions desirable
- Ability to travel to regional countries to build relationship with local business partners
- Self-starter with initiative to solve problem and make decisions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
