Founded in New York in 1987, GFI provides competitive wholesale market brokerage services in a multitude of global over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange listed cash and derivatives markets. Over more than 25 years, GFI has expanded both organically and through acquisitions into a broad range of markets, including fixed income derivatives, cash fixed income, emerging market financial products, energy and commodity derivatives, and equities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pricing, brokering and sales services to our clients in Mainland China, Singapore and the Asia region
- Business development into the Mainland China market
- Liaise with the teams in London and Dubai offices
- To develop business relationships for the Company by socializing with customers and prospective customers outside the workplace when required
- Travel in accordance with the business and desk needs
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the respective managers
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese is essential
- Outgoing personality
- Strong business development skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
- Must have brokerage experience of a minimum 1-2 years
- Ideally, have an understanding of the battery metals markets although this is not essential
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Team player
- Tolerance for stress in a fast-paced environment
