Job Description
- Operate the power plant according to procedures and technical requirements but not limited to starting up and shutting down the entire plant and plant auxiliary systems.
- Support the ASCE/SCE/PSCE/SM to meet the contractual, technical, and commercial set-up and operation of the Power Station.
- Have adequate knowledge of the safe operating parameters, controls, precaution, and safety interlocks when operating plant equipment. in the most efficient manner.
- Support team leader for plant process conditions troubleshooting, analyzing, and testing when necessary.
- Able to manage, monitoring and control the plant process operation from DCS in main control room.
- Responsible for daily plant operations activities, operating data recording; report defects and abnormalities according to approved work instructions.
- Responsible for safe execution of mechanical and electrical. Isolation/Normalization of equipment as required by the Permit To Work.
- Understand and familiar with plant chemistry including handling water treatment plant and electro-chlorination plant operations.
- Carry out plant change-over and conduct testing of equipment to meet statutory compliance and best industry practices.
- Support the shift team in monitoring the running unit performance and maintaining optimum operations efficiency.
- Assist to implement a Quality Management System as applied to the Power Station.
- To assist fully with and help implement and manage all Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
- To undertake additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the ASCE/SCE/PSCE/SM.
- Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Higher National Diploma or Certificate is preferred in a relevant engineering discipline. Relevant Competency certificate as issued by the Singapore regulatory authority, or education leading to this.
- Preferably Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Higher NITEC candidates may also be considered.
- Diploma holder with 2-3 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
- Higher NITEC with 3-5 years’ experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants or related industries.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Preferably understanding, knowledge and experience of Combined Cycle Power Station operations. Basic knowledge of Power Station commercial operation. Basic understanding of CCPP performance optimization.
- Candidates with steam boiler attendant or engineer certificate of competency will be an advantage.
- Self-motivated, independent, possess a good communication skill, and is a team player.
- Possess good knowledge & experience of plant processes and operations.
- Knowledge and experience in Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
