The Client:
The Client is a Shipping Carrier with strong presence in Singapore concentrating on specialized shipping routes.
Job Scope:
As a Trade Executive, the role involves managing cargo flow movement and cargo pricing strategies to ensure vessel utilisation and optimisation alongside supporting pricing strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Support ports in achieving outbound/inbound targets and optimize vessel allocation.
- Address trade-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Expand cross-trade shipments to enhance business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments.
- Maintain pricing efficiency, costs and provide analysis on contribution.
- Ensure timely filing with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and upkeep of tariffs.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
The Successful Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Maritime studies or any relevant discipline is a plus.
- More than 1-2 years of experience in trade management, logistics, or related field within the shipping industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform business decisions.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and industry standards.
