The Executive/Senior Executive is involved in most, if not all, aspects of accounting and handle the day-to-day activities of the accounting team.
He/she ensures that the organisation's finance function is well organised as well as produces timely and accurate financial statements and management accounts, thus achieving compliance with organisation’s policies and statutory requirements.
He/She must keep current with changing statutory requirements and relevant laws and determine the implications of such changes to financial reporting.
He/She also work with the leadership team to help define the organisation’s overall finance strategy.
The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: ·
· Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
· Responsible for accuracy of organization’s General Ledger
· Responsible for maintenance and improvement of organization’s accounting policies and protocols
· Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
· Handle management reporting and assist in production of high-level financials for Board
· Assist in preparing annual budget and related reports
· Responsible for the audit preparation process; and assist to manage successful passing of annual audit
· Secures financial information by completing database backups
Job Qualification:
· Has at least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least two years’ relevant experience or a Diploma in Accounting with at least three years’ relevant experience
· Hands-on experience with accounting software and fluent in Microsoft Excel
· Good knowledge of Financial Report Standards including Charity Accounting Standards
· Strong verbal/written communication skills · Self-motivated, organized, and detail-driven.
