Responsibility:
- Perform patent, literature and internet prior art searches and search analyses.
- Prepare and deliver patentability and IP due diligence reports.
- Evaluate technology disclosures to determine the best mode of IP protection.
- Review IP-related terms and conditions in agreements, such as project and license agreements.
- Manage IP portfolios, which include filing, prosecution and maintenance of patents, copyright etc, to support company in achieving research excellence and commercialisation objectives.
- Work alongside with researchers, collaborators and patent agents/law firms regarding IP protection matters.
- Upskill research, innovation and enterprise community in IP knowledge including copyright and patenting characteristics, concepts, and considerations through various training platforms.
Job Requirements:
- Degree, with preferably postgraduate Masters/PhD qualifications, in IP Management, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Prior experience in IP related work, in particular patent management.
- Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritise work while being meticulous and organised.
- Fluent in chinese and English, both written and oral.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify, collate and analyse disparate sources of data before making sound recommendations.
- A self-starter, independent and resourceful.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High learning agility and adaptability.
