Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic precision components. Possessing a strong history and global presence, this injection molding & tooling company is looking for a Planning Manager to lead their team during an exciting time in their development.
about the job:
- Lead planning team and provide mentorship and guidance
- Be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production schedule to meet customer demands
- Organize and planning of feed stocks, raw materials, and packaging based on production needs
- Schedule deliveries and provide forecasts to suppliers
- Coordinate production planning to meet targets
- Supervise raw materials and maintain accurate inventory data in SAP
- Assess production capacity and capabilities to identify bottlenecks or constraints
- Plan and raise production orders considering manufacturing processes and lead times
- Liaise with purchasing, operations, order management departments, and other stakeholders to meet customer requirements
- Monitor and manage inventory based on demand and forecast to achieve optimum inventory level and supply.
- Optimize utilization of all available machinery and equipment
Requirements
- Degree/diploma in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in handling buildplans, project management & order fulfillment
- Preferably come from the precision manufacturing/injection molding/tooling environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Experienced with assembly processes
- Must be experienced in leading a team
- Must be familiar with SAP
- Willing to work in the West (Tuas/Pioneer/Joo Koon)
