Quantity Surveyor
Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, a leading integrator of security surveillance systems. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs relating to security system projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The ideal candidate will ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation and Planning:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for security surveillance system projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Develop and maintain cost databases and cost management tools.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts.
2. Tender and Contract Management:
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Analyze and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and manage contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site surveys.
3. Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
- Monitor project expenditures against budgets and ensure financial control is maintained.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
4. Project Management Support:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely cost information.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and track progress against key milestones.
- Provide input on value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising on quality and performance.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential financial and contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards in all quantity surveying activities.
6. Post-Project Analysis:
- Conduct post-project cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
- Maintain accurate project records and archives for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Security surveillance Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the security surveillance industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Office Suite.
