Our client is a leading brand in the property management space globally. They are looking for a HOD of Engineering to come on board.
The role is to manage and supervise Engineering operations of a mixed-used development property including Mechanical & Electrical equipment, Air condition ventilation and Refrigeration, Plumbing, hot water system, Structure, Ground and landscape, energy saving, and other necessary maintenance work to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition, without omitting the safety aspects for members of the public,
The Responsibilities:
- Implement policies and procedures to drive efficiency amongst the teams.
- Maintain distribution system of electricity, water, gas, stream etc.
- Maintenance and operate air conditioning, heater, ventilation and refrigeration system.
- Monitors and coordinates the service performed by outside contractors in accordance to the contract, leases, service agreements and warranties.
- Keep all records on heat, light, power and cost of the facility.
- Ensure timely response to service requests from the tenants, employees, and management to repair or replace interior fixtures or furnishing.
- Plan, implement and administer energy management program.
- Establish annual energy reduction objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of capital expenditures and maintenance budget.
- Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts, tools and supplies.
- Train & supervise subordinates and assist with training for all employees on upgrading their skillsets.
- Conduct continuous inspection of the building and ground to ensure compliance with the relevant fire and safety laws
- Supervises and coordinates the activities and work of the Maintenance Engineers, Technical Officers, the Senior Technicians, Technicians, Craftsmen, outsourced contractor workers and contractors.
The Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree with at least 10+ years of engineering experience.
- Must have experience in a retail space/setting before.
